Hey folks. Gack from Major Powers here checking in with another installment of the Lo-Fi Post. Here are some things we are excited about that we want you to focus on:
Thing 1: we headlined the Edwardian Ball at the Regency Ballroom in SF in January 2014.
Thing 2: with your help, we won SF Deli Mag's Reader Poll for Best Emerging Artist of 2013. Ethan Varian sat down with Gack to talk about stuff. Read it.
Thing 3: Robex Lundgren from Boxholm, Sweden interviewed Major Powers for his Musik Blogg. It's long. Read it.
Thing 4: TheTeaOfDestiny sang a vocal cover of "I Need Your Help." Watch it.
Thing 5: we're shooting a bunch of music videos for you in the coming months, including one this Sunday March 2nd for our song "I Need Your Help."
Thing 6: we're headed to the southwest. First up, we're playing in Santa Monica, CA March 8 and Scottsdale, AZ March 9. Check our show page. There will be more southwest dates throughout the spring and summer 2014.
Thing 7: we already have two northwest tours booked for April and May 2014. We'll reveal the dates and cities soon.
Thing 8: this one is probably the biggest deal. We're, right this very instant, finally writing a new album for you.
Thing 9: we're going to be launching a Kickstarter in the near future to gain access to your wallets in exchange for favors and prizes. We need help producing our new record and with the costs associated with touring and making music videos. We're out on the road trying to build up as much capital as we can, but sometimes you just need that little extra push. We're also releasing a whole new line of merchandise. We're hoping that, with your help, we can make all of our wildest dreams come true.
Bonus thing: someone made MOTHER FUCKING SOCK PUPPETS OF US.
